important picture- gallery (paintings of the Venetian
school from 1300 to 1500, of Ferrarese and Flemish
school), harvests of art objects, historical relics,
documents, books that testify the history of Venice.
Every room is enriched by exposures of statues, of armors
and one particularly is dedicated to the glories of the
Doge Francesco Morosini called the Peloponnesian.
Absolutely to see the masterpieces of Cosmè Tura,
Antonello da Messina, the Bellini, Alvise Vivarini, Vittore
Carpaccio,
Lorenzo Lotto, Vincenzo Catena. The building also houses
the Museum of the Risorgimento and of the Venetian
nineteenth century, that keep some precious prints,
relics and documents from the eigtheenth century until
the annexation of Venice to the Italian kingdom (1866). |
